This short video is adorable! This poor little kitty is doing his best to engage that other “cat” into a game of rough-and-tumble. But the other cat is having no part of it. Somebody needs a playmate!
A fluffy kitten named Whiskers frolics around a majestic cat statue, pouncing and pawing at it in a playful attempt to initiate a game of chase. Little does Whiskers know, the statue is as still as stone, for it is merely a lifeless work of art.
With wide eyes full of wonder and excitement, Whiskers continues to nudge and prod at the statue, expecting it to respond with a playful swat or meow. His tiny whiskers twitch with anticipation, his tail flicking back and forth in eager anticipation of a lively playmate.
Whiskers grows tired but determined to elicit a response from his silent companion. With one final leap and a hopeful meow, he curls up next to the statue, still oblivious to the fact that his playmate will never come to life.
Night falls gently, enveloping Whiskers and the statue in a cloak of darkness. The kitten sleeps soundly, dreaming of imaginary adventures with his stoic friend, unaware of the reality that lies before him. And so the night passes, with the statue looming silently over the slumbering kitten.
As dawn breaks and the world awakens once more, Whiskers stirs from his dreams and stretches lazily in the morning light. With a playful yawn, he rises to his feet and gives the statue one last hopeful gaze, still unaware of the truth that eludes him. And so the cycle continues, with Whiskers forever chasing a dream that will never come true. Hopefully, his hoomans will play with him.
